# What is a content bundle?

A content bundle is a group of titles, or of whole services, sold together for a single price that is lower than buying each part separately. Examples are a film trilogy, a full season, a festival pass or two streaming services on one bill.

## Types of bundle

- Title bundle: a set of films or a box set sold as one purchase or rental
- Season or event pass: every episode of a season or every match of a tournament
- Plan bundle: a subscription that includes an add-on, such as a sports or kids package
- Service bundle: two or more streaming services, or streaming with a mobile or broadband plan, at a joint price

## Why bundle

A bundle raises the amount spent per purchase and exposes viewers to titles they would not have bought alone. Subscribers who hold a bundle also cancel less, because leaving means giving up several things at once.

## Pricing a bundle

The discount should be large enough to notice and small enough that the bundle still earns more than the single item most buyers would otherwise have chosen. A common range is 20% to 40% off the combined price.

Keep the parts on sale individually. The single prices are what make the bundle look like good value.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does bundling reduce revenue per title?

Per title, yes. Per customer it usually rises, because the buyer spends more than they would have on a single item.

### Can a bundle mix rentals and purchases?

Yes, though simple bundles sell better. One price for a clearly named set is easier to understand than a mixture of access rules.

### What is a streaming service bundle?

Two or more separate services offered together at a discount, often by a telecom operator or an aggregator that handles the billing.
